I posted something similar as well this week. It’s making most of automation unworkable in Chrome. My DEV resource said it seems to be related to jquery. My article is below.
Thank you for reporting this issue to us. We appreciate your help in identifying problems and unusual behaviors.
We will be forwarding your issue to our Recorder team soon. Before doing so, could you please provide the following:
The web page that you were testing with Katalon Recorder.
The steps to reproduce the bug.
A screen recording of the bug in action.
The information above will be very helpful to our Recorder team!
Additionally, you could also contact our Recorder team via the email: recorder-services@katalon.com for faster support, bug report, or feature requests.
Unfortunately I can’t share any URLs or screen recordings - Company policy. However I can say that one of the webpages that was not working was Azure DevOps - Boards.
I have tried this on Edge (Version 125.0.2535.85 (Official build) (64-bit)) and Chrome (Version 122.0.6261.95 (Official Build) (64-bit)) both of which have the same problem.
Repro steps:
Open Chrome or Edge
Set the Katalon Recorder v7.0.0 extension to active
Open Azure DevOps Boards - Boards do not load
Set the Katalon Recorder v7.0.0 extension to disabled
Open Azure DevOps Boards - Boards load
Apologies I couldn’t be of more help but hopefully this can still assist you.
Yep correct same here and a bunch of other random pages. So long as the extension is enabled you will get this problem. Turn it off and the problem goes away. Just run an alert(“hello”) in dev tools console, it will only work with the extension disabled.
It is still a huge issue for me too. Since KR 7.0.0 was released, not only all scripts stopped working but also I have to turn KR OFF because when it’s ON, JIRA, ChatGTP and some other sites don’t work.
Hi @lschollar , thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We are going to release version 7.0.1 which address the issues of Jquery and returnPrompt function in the beginning of next week. Regarding the performance issues, please be assured that we are actively investigating them.
We appreciate your patience and will keep you updated on our progress.
Thank you
