Reminds me of the old joke…

Man 1: Do you like children?

Man 2: Yeah, they’re great. But I couldn’t eat a whole one.

I’m not sure I would fully trust a camel recipe from Michigan but that would be a hell of a dinner party dish!

just make sure you have enough guests to not waste…

The important question is: where would you source the camel from? Can’t imagine our Bionel planning a camel heist on a local zoo now

I remember going to Australia on a family trip and learned that Kangaroos were considered as pests and the government encourage people to eat them or use their skins/hides for leather goods :exploding_head:

Maybe there will also be some place where camels are considered as pests or an invasive species?

The animals held a meeting and agreed unanimously, WE are the invasive species.

George Orwell wrote a book about it.

this is, unfortunately true.
there are also other known cases (e. g some rivers here and there) where you dont have to go for fishing, just do a boat trip and the fish jump into the boat.
this was caused, guessa what, by humans.
relocating some species (sort of carp if my memory is intact) to solve some problems… created bigger issues.
now those rivers are overpopulated and this carps destroy the environment for other species.

and i cand dig for more examples, but i am lazy… (e. g dingo)

aside of that, if i will have the opportunity, i will definetly try kangooroo meat.

one of the shows i watch very often is master chef australia, which is totally different in many aspects compared to other master chef approaches (us, uk, romania etc) and kangooroo meat is appreciated. and it looks good!

if any vegan here, or a green peace or just pet lover, sorry.
it is just the trophic chain! get used to it!
cheese or kfc food doesn’t grow in a tree.

being the above, my challenge…
did you ever killed, sliced etc any animal for cooking? whatever may be, a chicken, a pig, a goat, a camel…
… or did you ever saw the process? (i mean, live, at your grandparents etc. watching on youtube doesn’t count)
… or do you just buy from the market and pretend this is not happening?
… or the meat grow in the tree?
(yeah, we know earth is flat, but i have some curiosity on the above)

Looks like your taste buds have not met Kashmiri Cuisine.

Go Kashmir and try the Kashmiri Cuisine and you would never want to taste anything else.

Et voila!

‘Sarmale’ (the recipe is somewhere at the beginning of this thread) in a pumpkin pot!

I have, though in “little India” (Southall) in London, not in Kashmir.

Kashmiri masala is my favorite spice blend, the absolute best for pork dishes. Pataks do a fabulous Kashmiri masala paste often used in BIR restaurants in the UK. Sadly, I can’t find it here in the US.
