Participation guidelines
Extended deadline: 2024-10-22T17:00:00Z→2024-10-25T16:59:00Z
Original deadline: From now till 2024-10-23T16:59:00Z, create:
An original visual concept design which could be: your own work using design software/websites, your own hand drawing, or even AI-generated images, and
A short tagline (no more than 5 words)
Note:
Both will need to align with the theme of Automation Testing and Quality Assurance
Be sure to refer to our Design Guideline to ensure that your submission are eligible for the competition.
Share your designs with us in this thread which include:
Your visual design

A short explanation for the meaning and intention behind your visual designs and taglines, and

1. Can I submit more than one (1) design (in case I have many ideas)?

In order to ensure the equal chance for every participant, you can only submit ONE final design. Please focus your effort and enthusiasm in ONE design.
2. How does the People’s Choice award work?

The People’s Choice award is granted to members whose submissions get the highest number of likes/reactions. This means that the more hearts , likes , or other reaction you get on your submission, the higher chance you will win!
The simplest way to get as many likes/reactions as you can is simply sharing your submission with your friends/colleagues and ask them to react to your submission!
3. How does the Katalon’s Choice and Runner-Up awards work?

Both are granted to members who submissions are chosen by our Marketing team in the order of 1st (Katalon’s Choice), 2nd and 3rd (Runner-Up).
4. Do I really have to include the Bonus slide?

The bonus slide is optional; however, it would help our teams to visualize how your design would look like across different items. Plus, it would mean that you have a higher chance of winning the Katalon’s Choice or Runner-Up awards!
Below is an example submission for your reference (please excuse my poor design skill ) …
Tagline: Test Smart, Ship Faster
The tagline expresses how Katalon enables individuals and teams of all sizes to test more efficiently thanks to smart features and built-in AI features. It also reflects the many testers’ goal of optimizing testing processes while maintaining a high standard of user experiences for end users.
As for the visual, typical motif such as </> were used to highlight the technical aspect of testing, while the rocket symbolizes speed.
Above is only an example on what you can submit. Please don’t copy or reuse this example.
The example above was done using Canva.com. Canva is an easy-to-use online design tool which you can use to quickly whip up visual designs, from presentation slides, social media banners, and more.
Aside from Canva, feel free to use other tools or methods i.e. Google Slides, Draw IO, etc. Anything to get your ideas across.

Tag line - Live for tomorrow, automate today
Explanation - “Live for tomorrow, automate today” means taking proactive steps in automation now to ensure a smoother and more efficient future. It highlights the importance of acting today to benefit tomorrow.

It embodies a playful yet strong mindset in Quality Assurance, turning the fear of bugs into a thing of the past.
The tagline ‘Automate with Precision’ emphasizes the importance of accuracy and reliability in automated testing. It highlights the capability of Katalon’s tools to deliver precise and efficient testing solutions."
Explanation- Just like in the current real world scenario, the above if else statement (tag line) explains that —> If you automate quality is assured, else ( with no condition written mean anything can happen). So else is blank.
Tag line: Future of AI-driven testing “Future of AI-driven testing” emphasizes AI’s transformative impact on software testing, automating complex scenarios, reducing errors, and speeding up development. AI-driven systems will predict defects, optimize coverage, and adapt to changes, making testing more scalable and efficient. The golden unicorn symbolizes the rarity and innovation of AI-driven testing, highlighting its superior, cutting-edge nature in the field.
