User managment for small team without TestOps

Hello, we are planning to buy Katalon Studio + Runtime Licences. For this I am using my own account, that tester wont be able to access. Can I add , manage users assign licences after purchase of Katalon Studio.
I see no need or reason tu buy TestOps, just to assign the licence. Is there a possibility like that ?

Katalon Studio and Runtime and TestOps are 3 different products

KSE - IDE for writing tests and executing it locally.

KRE - for running those KSE tests in a CI pipeline

TestOps - Test Management.

You can purchase 1 or all , depending on your needs.

Regarding your question about TestOps, it is not required just to assign licenses. You can manage KSE and KRE licenses and assign them to users directly through the licenses associated with your account.

Here’s how the licenses work in terms of assigning and managing users:

  • KSE (Katalon Studio Enterprise) is a user-based license. To assign a Katalon Studio license to another team member, you must have at least 1 KSE license yourself. For example, if you only have one KSE license, it will automatically be assigned to you and cannot be reassigned. Therefore, to assign a license to another account, you would need 2 KSE licenses.

  • KRE (Katalon Runtime Engine) is a floating license, which means it can be set up on different computers and run normally. However, it only allows one test execution at a time.

To make the most of your licenses, I recommend purchasing them with the email account of the person who will primarily use KSE, as this will be the most efficient and cost-effective approach. And you don’t have to buy a TestOps license to assign based on what I said.
