July Product & Community Roundup
Hi everyone 
July was one of those months where both the product and the community moved fast. We launched the new True Platform and True Automation packaging, shipped one of the biggest Katalon Studio updates this year, and saw the forum hit its highest traffic this quarter.
Here’s what happened.
Product
New packaging and trial flow
True Platform and True Automation are now live across our pricing page, purchase portal, and license management.
New users now start with a 30-day trial, and internal teams can grant product trials without replacing an existing paid subscription—making it much easier to evaluate new capabilities.

Katalon Studio 11.3.0
The headline feature is Intention Groups.
You can now group manually edited steps into business-level units that stay consistent across Manual view, Script view, Recorder Plus, execution logs, and reports. If you’ve ever inherited someone else’s test project, you’ll know why this makes maintenance much easier.

Manual Testing, Integrations & Test Execution Cloud
The MHT team wrapped up a substantial delivery with improvements across manual testing, integrations, and execution.
Highlights include:

KRE 11.3.0 support in Test Execution Cloud

TrueTest Journey Maps
Journey Maps also received several useful improvements this month:

Search sessions by step count

View least-visited pages and the bottom 10 pages

Session counts per page

Project-level matching algorithm overrides

PII redaction across sessions, flows, and replays
The team also improved object clustering, locator uniqueness for calendar controls, assertion creation, and addressed several journey-map reliability issues.

Our latest Ask Katalon Anything focused on AI in testing and what it means to become a future-ready tester.
It became one of the busiest discussion threads of the month with thoughtful questions and conversations from across the community.

The True Builder program continued its July feedback cycle, with members sharing product feedback directly with the team throughout the month.

Toward the end of July, we launched a short survey to better understand how teams actually use Playwright—not just what the documentation says.

Community conversations
A couple of smaller discussions unexpectedly took off:

Sometimes the most interesting conversations start with a simple question.
Most Active Topics (June 28 – July 28)
True Platform dominated the discussion this month.
The July Product Feedback thread took the top spot with 21 replies from 15 contributors, followed closely by conversations about what True Platform actually does and how it fits alongside Scout.
Certification issues also stood out. Two separate threads around certification progress and keyword counts attracted lengthy discussions. When multiple people report the same issue independently, it’s usually a sign there’s something worth investigating—and the team is already looking into it.
Mobile testing remained another hot topic, especially discussions around iOS Face ID permission pop-ups freezing automated execution, which turned into an excellent troubleshooting thread with contributions from several experienced members.
