Katalon Studio 11.3.0 shipped on June 30.
The headline feature is Intention Groups. You know that moment reviewing a test where it’s just 40 clicks and inputs with no story? Now you can bundle those into named actions — “Login,” “Checkout,” whatever makes sense — across Manual, Script, and Recorder Plus. It shows up in the Log Viewer and Reports too, so whoever’s debugging at 2am doesn’t have to reverse-engineer what you meant. Full details
A few other things I don’t want you to miss:
1. AI-generated API tests aren’t throwaway anymore. They used to disappear once you closed the generation report. Now you can save the ones worth keeping straight into your Test Case repository and maintain them like anything else.
2. AI Assistant is less clumsy now. It picks the right tools automatically before an agent request instead of you running into the 128-tool API limit. It also reads active/all tabs for context, accepts more object types as attachments, and sticks to your project’s open/close lifecycle instead of bleeding across sessions. AI-made test cases and objects are visually tagged now too, so you’re not guessing what’s human-written vs generated.
3. Smart Mobile Recorder got a few quality-of-life fixes: quicker access to an element’s attributes while recording, new context-menu actions mid-recording, and auto-scroll to the right node in Screen Objects during Interactive Mode.
4. API & Reporting: nested collections now inherit auth from their parent (no more re-entering credentials for every child), non-standard JSON content types stopped breaking things, JUnit reports carry custom iteration names and tags, and you can finally cancel a report upload to True Platform if you fired it off by mistake.
5. Under the hood: fixes for KRE Web Service execution, Test Execution Cloud runs, PDF reports, macOS image-based actions, and long sessions timing out on Ubuntu 24. 21 fixes total, 18 KSRs closed.
