🌟 Use Case Shoutout: When One Bug Saved a Release | Sneha S S

Meet @sneha.sajeev, one of our newest community contributors :waving_hand:

Sneha is a new contributor to our community who brings a fresh perspective and hands-on testing experience. In her first contribution, she shares a real-world QA use case that highlights careful observation, practical problem-solving, and a strong ownership mindset during a critical release phase.

Problem:
During a critical healthcare application release, appointment booking tests passed, but real users reported missing sub-reasons on the Review Booking page. The issue only happened when users entered a custom sub-reason instead of selecting from the dropdown, making it hard to detect through standard testing.

Solution:
Sneha traced the issue across UI and API layers and discovered that a UI validation script was stripping custom input before rendering. She created a focused automated test to consistently reproduce the problem and helped the team update the UI to support both dropdown and custom values.

As a result, incorrect bookings were prevented and a critical edge case was covered before release.
