Unable to rename Test Case

Hi,
I’m unable to rename my test case. The system keeps showing this message :

I’ve already tried using a different name, but I get the same result. However, when I check in my file explorer, the test case name has changed. but its not updated in Katalon studio

I’m unable to rename my test case.

This is an old issue outstanding for years. In this forum you can find a lot of old posts of this issue, for example

• BUG - Failed renaming test case deletes content
• Script code vanished when a test case is renamed

I noticed you are using Katalon Studio v10.2.2, which is a bit old.

In the Release note of v10.2.3 Katalon wrote:

• Resolved hanging issues in:
  • Creating or modifying test objects.
  • Saving test cases and keywords.
  • Renaming test cases and test objects.

It seems that v10.2.3 includes some betterments for this issue “unable to rename Test Case”.

So, I would recommend you to upgrade Katalon Studio to the latest v10.2.4 and see how it works.
