I’ve been using KSE for a few years now and have completed the Practitioner Level Certification. I’d like to complete the Professional Level Certification, but I’ve run into an issue: it requires a Katalon TestCloud/KRE license, and I only have KSE through my organization (we may potentially get KRE in the future).
Would it be possible to separate the Professional certification so KSE-only users can still complete it? Or maybe offer alternative paths where users can include KRE or TestCloud if they have access to those tools, rather than making TestCloud/KRE mandatory?
It feels like anyone without a TestCloud or KRE license is stuck, even if they’re fully trained on the rest of the ecosystem.
We’re revamping the Professional cert. And the good news is we’re heading in the direction of your feedback. We will have alternative requirements so that users can choose which they want to complete.
When will this happen? You can expect the new version of the program in Jan 2026. Official announcement will be sent out via email, in the community, and other Katalon channels.
In the meantime, if you can take advantage of the current community’s Kudos Rewards Scheme. Earn kudos and exchange them for your wanted licenses.
