No objects are captured when using record web with ie

I am new to Katalon studio and I have a challenge with IE.

WHEN RECORDING, no objects are captured at all. When I use Chrome on the very same web-page, every object I select is captured.

Interestingly enough I am able to run the recorded test case on IE. I am using IE 11 and I believe I have done all the necessary configs in IE and the registry for the browser to work with Katalon studio.

I have attempted all solutions suggested in similar topics but they have not worked for me.

Two things I observed:

  • The recorder (and object spy) extensions were disabled in IE. I enabled them but still the problem was not resolved.

  • The extensions are for Win32 and installed in Program Files (x86), yet I am on a Win64. Could this be an issue?
