Need help with Katalon Studio Assist (posting on behalf of the OP)

I am currently working on Professional level certification and register using my official email id ( Subhashini_b@persistent.com) and I am facing issue in creating test scripts using Katalon Studio Assist (AI). I could not set up in my laptop and it is asking for API key. I need some assistance on this.

However, i do create some normal test cases and it is reflecting as 8/10 in my learning path. Can I proceed further with same method to complete the step ?

Katalon Studio Assist (AI-powered feature) requires an API key for integration. Here’s how to resolve this:

Step 1: Generate/Retrieve Your API Key

  • Go to Katalon TestOps > Settings > API Keys (direct link).
  • Click Create API Key, name it (e.g., “Studio Assist”), and save the generated key securely.

Step 2: Configure API Key in Katalon Studio

  1. Open Katalon Studio.
  2. Navigate to Project Settings > Katalon AI.
  3. Paste the API key into the designated field.
  4. Restart Katalon Studio.

Step 3: Troubleshooting Setup Failures

  • Corporate Network Restrictions: If your laptop is managed by Persistent’s IT policies, firewalls/proxies might block Katalon Studio Assist. Try:
    • Using a personal device for certification tasks.
    • Requesting IT to whitelist Katalon domains (api.katalon.com, testops.katalon.io).
  • Update Katalon Studio: Ensure you’re using Katalon Studio newer version (required for AI features).
  • Verify Account Permissions: Log in with your same account (linked to your Katalon Test Cloud license).

2. Learning Path Progress (8/10)
