Katalon recorder license

Hi there,
I noticed the Katalon recorder chrome extension has an apache 2.0 license. However, on the FAQ page here https://www.katalon.com/resources-center/blog/katalon-automation-recorder/ (at the bottom) it explicitly states:

_Katalon Recorder is free to use on any projects (commercial or not) of yours. But it’s prohibited for you to sell/redistribute/decode Katalon Recorder.
_
I would like to simplify the UI for use in simple web automations by non-developers so I am somewhat confused by the licensing.

really good question. I’m also wondering if we can modify Katalon recorder.
