I launched the software, and windows testing is not activated it asked me to download the latest version which I already downloaded but still doesn’t work windows options are disabled and the options it shows is tutorial are not visible]

Same issue here. Downloaded to specifically look at Desktop testing, it’s the only thing I need. Running the tutorial, I get this when I try to select Desktop. I have freshly downloaded the latest version (supposedly).

For now, I suggest that you change your KS version to v9.x to be able to use Desktop testing. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thank you
I’m afraid this issue, combined with the 2 different crashes I experienced just when quitting the application, have made me decide against choosing Katalon for my company’s test automation needs. I can’t feel confident using a testing product from a company that would decide to release a major new version of their product, then tell people to downgrade in order to use a core functionality.
Maybe have a good read up on options for desktop testing, including the current support for WinAppDriver and choose the best product from there. It’s not a very competitive market it seems
