My Recommendation: If you’re just starting, use the built-in Katalon AI Assistant because the integration is already available and requires minimal setup. If you want custom AI workflows inside your automation framework, then call the OpenAI APIs directly using Katalon’s Web Service layer. Katalon officially supports OpenAI integration through its AI Assistant, so both approaches are valid.
