Web recording - black screen and the browser hangs

Hello,

Sometimes when I try to add more steps to existing test cases by recording, the black screen appears on one monitor and there is no possibility to close the program - I need to restart the computer.

Steps:

  1. Click on the item where you want add more steps.
  2. Click Record Web button.
  3. Choose browser from active browsers (I use Chrome)
  4. Black screen appears.

I use Katalon version 5.4.2, Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit.

Please for advise, what can be the reason?

I am facing a similar issue. When I use the spy object to record on an active browser, the left monitor becomes black and the only way I found to fix this is to reboot my computer. This is very frustrating.Is there a fix for this or a workaround not to fall into this trap?
