Unable to open browser

Hello everyone,
I created a new web project on Katalon and I’m just trying to record a site in this case I’m trying this url: http://demoaut.katalon.com/, but I can’t open any browsers, I’ve tried IE, Firefox, Chrome and nothing works… I would like to use Chrome, but I always catch this error when I close both the capture window and the blank page that chrome opens with url ‘data;’

Can anybody help me? I don’t know what to do :frowning_face:

I am not sure what this specific error means but here are few things you can do :

  • Make sure you have latest version of Katalon.

  • Make sure you have Google Chrome installed and Updated. Katalon needs Google Chrome installed as it is not bundled itself in Katalon.

Here are a few useful informations:

OS: Windows 10
Katalon Version 6.1.5
ChromeDriver Version: 74.0.3729.6
Chrome Version 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Everything is up-to-date.

There is another solution, Run Katalon as an administrator. Normally QA’s should also have full admin rights on machines.
