TestOps - API error trying to Create Release

  • Katalon Studio Version:7.9.0
  • OS Version: Windows 10 1909 (OS Build 18363.1316)
  • Browser Version: Chrome 88.0.4324.146 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Steps to Reproduce:

1.Open TestOps
2.Navigate to Test Planning > Releases and click Create Release
3.Fill out the Create Release form (jira project/release drop downs are successfully populated from our Jira instance)

Start date of 03/02/2021 end date 19/02/2021

4.Click Create

I then see an on screen popup error in the top right of the screen stating:

/api/v1/releases
403 FORBIDDEN{“errorMessages”:[“You cannot edit the configuration of this project.”],“errors”:{}}

Expected behavior:
I would expect the release to be created

This might be an issue with our Jira project config our end. Waiting for someone to get back to me and i’ll update this when I know what is going on :slight_smile:

We are running into a similar issue, did you find any sort of solution?

@rmattingly - sorry for delay replying, I didn’t get any notification.

It was a permissions thing on our Jira system. I ended up asking the Jira admin to create a Jira project just for me and give me full permissions so I could test this plugin. I have no idea what permissions I was given though, so can’t help you there I’m afraid.
