“Root cause: java.lang.IllegalStateException: The path to the driver executable must be set by the webdriver.gecko.driver system property”
I get this message(failure) when I start an imported selenium testcase. But only on a windows testserver (Win 7 & FF31.0). My lokal windows Katalon-Studio installation works perfect (Win 10 & FF 59.0.1). Any hints for this failure or have I to update the FF?
I’ve added now the firefox.exe to the PATH variable via the registry because I had to change the PATH of a user who has no rights to edit the PATH var.
Ok, just to complete I write how exactly I’ve done this:
1. Klick Win+r
2. Type regedit and hit Enter
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Environment
4. Doubleklick on PATH
4. Edit Path throug adding ;C:\path_to_firefox_exe\firefox.exe
But I can’t tell why I did not have to do this on my local installation.
Maybe because of the different Windows versions?!
I seem to be getting the same error and I have added the geckodriver.exe to the configuration folder. I cannot get any browser to work due to this error. The instructions that are mentioned above, should I also follow them?
