No Capture Object option, Record is not working, Katalon update fail

Hello Katalon community,

I suddenly found that Capture object action is not available(not listed) in my Katalon (ver 10.2.0). Also, if I use Record method, it is not capturing what I am doing and no script recorded. Browser driver is updated. I tried to update the Katalon version to 10.2.2 by clicking Help - check for updates - download, after a long time after it shows pop up menu saying its ready for install and re-launch, but once I click ok, the Katalong closes and never re-launches. If I launch it again myself - I see that the version is still the old one, it was no updates. So the Katalon is useless for me now, while we have a paid subscription. Please advise how i can fix it? Thank you.

Thanks for sharing the information. Let me double check with you the following steps:

  1. Please make sure you download 10.2.2 version from this link Katalon Studio Download | Katalon or directly from git: Releases · katalon-studio/katalon-studio · GitHub
  2. For Mac, the downloaded package will be automatically installed. For Windows, it will need an additional step to click on .exe file to start installing the download.
  3. As a paid user, you are entitled to raise a support ticket to our dedicated team via this portal https://katalon-inc.my.site.com/support/

The in-app update function is known to be unreliable. You shouldn’t use it.
