(Mostly) to the german audience: How you treat BFSG (accessability) testing in regards to automated regression testing?

Hi everyone,

I’d like to reach out to the German-speaking users here and ask how you deal with the topic of BFSG (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz / Accessibility Strengthening Act) in the context of automated regression testing.

Do you consider BFSG-related requirements in your automated test suites? If so:

  • Which aspects of BFSG compliance do you automate, and which do you cover manually?

  • Which tools, frameworks, or plugins do you use to check accessibility within Katalon or as part of your CI/CD pipeline?

  • Have you found an efficient way to integrate accessibility checks without slowing down your regression runs too much?

I’d be really interested to hear how others have approached this challenge, especially in projects where accessibility testing is becoming increasingly important.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Hi @reinhold,

Welcome to our community. It’s a great topic. Do you want to extend the scope of question other than German speakers as it can help you reach out to more people? Bumping to get more people involve

Hi Elly,

this topic concerns everyone who is involved in accessibility as an engineer or tester. So yes, it mainly addresses the German audience, but it’s also relevant worldwide. Germany just has some specific legal requirements.

Kind regards.
