Katalon Studio Console Mode - non support of UTF-8 - Question

I read the following:

Katalon Studio Console Mode cannot display Unicode characters due to Windows CMD doesn’t support UTF-8

Is this true also with Linux or is this just a Windows CMD issue? Can anyone verify please for me?
