Katalon Runtime Engine does not run Test Suite

I am trying to run some automated scripts using the Katalon Runtime Engine, I generate the command and access through my console to the KRE path and when I execute the command it does nothing.

I make the caveat that these tests are run for Android.

I was able to verify that everything is correct when configuring the command from Katalon Studio: Test Suite with its test cases, selection of the platform to be executed “Android”, the emulator and the profile, also the Katalon Organization.

No error message in the console but on completion it shows status 0 but I never run the test suite with the cases.

I have already tried downloading and installing multiple versions of katalon studio, the last one being 10.1.0 and 9.7.4 and the same thing keeps happening to me, please let me know if you need any extra information or clarification.

Hi @gdelanieve,

Thank you for letting me know that. Looking at the screenshot, I cannot see any specific errors but you can please help narrow down issue by:

1. As you currently run with Android, would you mind trying to run 1 simple test case with web? E.g: Open Browser, Navigate to URL => So that we can verify if the issue happens with KRE package or your test case running with Android itself.
2. You can try renaming your test case in TestSuite, as I see you are using special characters. Please try changing it to English.

Saludos @Elly_Tran , I have tried creating a web project with a couple of steps and I have tried with these projects and the same thing happens to me, and even in TestSuite without special characters.

Could you fire the CLI command without the organisation id. (Just dont select the Katalon organisation).

@Monty_Bagati Still the same. Do not select the Katalon Organization, it shows that end with success with zero status but does nothing, and also with the progress at 0%.

Now I could find the problem, what happened is that when unzipping Katalon Runtime Engine apparently it was unzipped inside a folder with the same name, that is, the folder is called Katalon_Studio_Engine_Windows_64-10.1.0 and then inside there was another folder called with the same name and that was where the executable katalonc.exe was, but apparently when trying to run by runtime it stayed in the first folder with that name where the executable was not, so it did nothing and stayed at 0%.

The solution is simply that the executable katalonc.exe is unzipped and is in that first folder and not one inside another and ready, thanks.

I am still getting same error. Do we need to install Java 17 in the machine. I dont see any specific solution for the problem.
