This is the second time that the Katalon recorder extension has crashed during the execution of my scripts and I’ve had to repair the extension in Google Chrome, which means that I’ve lost all my workspace with all my scripts after reinstallation.
The first one was a few months ago and I had to restart everything from old backups, fortunately.
This time, the same thing happened again, except that I had to create new scripts (and improve the old ones) that I didn’t have time to save again.
And now I’ve lost everything, with no way of recovering anything I know of, and I have to admit it’s hard to digest given the time I’ve spent on it.
If you have any solutions, I’d love to hear from you.

During execution, it abruptly stopped/closed and when I went to my installed extensions in Google Chrome, I was forced to repair the extension (I only had the repair button left) and when I clicked on it, it reinstalled the extension and my workspace was empty even though I was logged in with my gmail account.

According to Katalon Web Recorder Plus, Katalon Web Recorder Plus is available as a beta feature in Katalon Studio 10.20 and later versions. To enable it, you need to go to Katalon Studio > Preferences > Katalon > Beta Features and check the box for Katalon Web Recorder Plus.
Thanks for your feedback. We had this plan in 2023 to have a comprehensive platform in order to centralize a dedicated resource to support users. I agree that change is mostly uncomfortable but we aim for the better experience in our product suite. I also had this conversation with our Product Owner @philipB and we expect Katalon Web Recorder Plus will be solving your problems.
