Email configuration issue

After giving me my head against the wall they told me the solution and it worked perfectly.

Leave port 465 (gmail) but add the SSL protocol and encrypt it and go, it works ok.

I have Katalon 6.0.5 and tried the same setup with gamial smtp but got this error …despite me specifying the port as 587 Katalon still trying to connect using port 25

I was also really struggling with this on a windows 2016 server. I had no issues on my private machine using a web.de address.

What helped me:

  • When send test email is not working, nevertheless just execute a test suite (with an added email recipient) and check the event log afterwards to see the exact cause
  • I did have the described certificate issue. The suggested solution to download missing certificates and import them the Katalon keystore using InstallCert.java worked perfectly!
  • No more certificate error but authentication error for my company address which I could not solve
  • Imported also certificate for smtp.gmail.com
  • Made new gmail account, allowed less secure apps, and used this address for Katalon with port 465 and Protocol SSL. Works!

me too same issue

Hi All,
Just do a set up in your Gmail account ensure that less secure app access is enabled

and send test email it will work

Hi everyone I have the same issue: Unable to send email to the following server with Katalon studio version 8.6.6(windows 10-64bit)
with configure: My configuration details:

Host: smtp.gmail.com

Port: 587

UserName - My full gmail id

Password - My gmail password

Protocol - Tried with None, SSL, TLS.
Report Recipient - My gmail id
Could be a netprovider issue/problem?

Did you enable SMTP from gmail account ?

Yes, SMTP is enabled
