Hey everyone!
Missing me on this journey? I’m back with loads of fresh insights, and I can’t wait to spill all the cool stuff I’ve been learning! Are you ready?
Week 2: Getting Cozy with Katalon Studio’s Record & Playback
This week, I dove into the course “Create Automated Tests with Record and Playback”, and wow—testing without heavy coding? Yes, please! Here’s the lowdown on my latest explorations, and a little help request below too.
Key Takeaways:
-
Git + Katalon Studio Integration: You all know Git, right? Connecting it with Katalon Studio has been such a smooth ride! Now I can script tests, commit directly, and keep everything in sync. Super handy!
-
Exploring Katalon Studio’s UI: The course provided a clear, step-by-step guide to understanding Katalon’s UI. Here’s a little snapshot I took so you can see it for yourself!
-
Record & Playback Magic: No coding skills? Really no problem! With a few clicks, scrolls, and navigations, the tests practically write themselves. I didn’t realize testing could be this fast and easy!
-
Active Browser Feature: With the KR extension, I can record tests straight from my active browser state. Simple and effective!
Challenges:
-
Browser Chaos: So here’s the deal—I seem to be accidentally opening a whirlwind of browser tabs whenever I stop my test midway. I cannot close those Chrome tabs. The only way out is to fully quit Chrome and restart. Could it be that my laptop just can’t handle the load? Any tips would be awesome!

Goals for Next Week:
- Next, I’m diving into creating test objects with this course: Creating Test Objects. Wish me luck!
