Hi hiiii ~
Past few days were easy-breezy, right? I wonder… have you started to understand a bit more about your trial and our product yet? If our content ever feels meh, just drop a comment. BUT also - pull up your sleeves, bestie, today we level up. ![]()
Today’s Topic: How a Testing Project Is Structured!
Before you can really boss Katalon Studio around, you gotta understand one thing first:
- What a test project looks like on the inside
— folders, test cases, structures … the whole “testing universe.”
Because once you get this, your creating test becomes 10x easier
Otherwise, Studio also introduces Test Suite Collection, where you can execute multiple test suites together in either parallel mode or sequential mode, read more here: Manage test suite collections in Katalon Studio | Katalon Docs .
- What are Execution Profiles & Global Variables?
In testing, you’ll deal with multiple environments — UAT, Staging, Production… the whole gang
.
To run the same test script across all of them without touching your code, use Global Variables. They’re shared values you can access anywhere in your project (test cases, objects, APIs, emails).
And with Execution Profiles, you can switch environments like changing outfits — one click, new setup
Go watch it - don’t skip, I can see you ![]()
What’s next?
Today’s mission: Build a Test Suite Collection with multiple Test Suites and run it in Sequential + Parallel mode, try with multiple testing environment with different input values — let’s see how fast you can test the full cycle of your product.
There are more magics hidden inside Profiles & Variables, to grasp the full understanding, join this Academy course: Boosting test efficiency with execution profiles in Katalon Studio
