Recently, I spent some time diving deep into G2 reviews for Katalon Platform, and it was an eye-opening experience for me—not just as a Community Manager, but as someone who constantly thinks about how tools impact real-world testing teams.
We often think of reviews as simple “pros and cons” lists for potential buyers. But reading through the words of QA engineers, team leads, and automation architects from different industries, I realized these reviews are so much more. They are signals that help us:
- Understand how QA teams really use the tool, beyond marketing materials
- See what matters most to testers when choosing a tool
- Channel valuable product feedback to the development team
And most importantly, these reviews don’t just evaluate a tool—they give us a new lens to see how automation tools shape careers, improve processes, and ultimately, help people become better QA professionals.
One thing that struck me was how diverse the reviewers were:
-
A Senior QA Engineer in a small business focused on how Katalon made automation easy for beginners.
-
A QA Lead in a mid-sized company praised how the tool scaled for large test suites in CI/CD pipelines.
-
A banking professional valued how it simplified automation without complex setups.
Different industries, different team sizes, different use cases—but the same core value kept coming up: We need something that saves time and is easy to use.
I encourage our community to visit G2 and, if possible, share your reviews—your insights help fellow QA professionals grow, and make informed decisions.
Have you ever found insights in reviews that changed how you saw a product? Let’s share our experiences and help each other build better testing strategies!
Happy testing!
