Junk test objects are generated by Web Recorder

Please follow these steps:

  1. Start recording via Web Recorder
  2. Click some elements=> You will see all elements are listed in the Captured Objects and Recorded Actions sections.
  3. Remove some of the steps from “Recorded Actions”
  4. Click Ok and complete the recording.
  5. Go to Object Repository,

===>BUG: The object associated to the removed step in step 3 is also saved.

This causes too many junk test objects to be created.

Please let us know how would your work be affected if this issue has not been resolved?

  1. I can continue my job, but my performance is lower than expected

Before closing the Web Recorder, you should see the dialog to select which Test Objects are to be saved into the Object Repository. This dialog dictates which gets saved and which are not. Deleting Recorded Actions does not automatically stop the Test Objects from being persisted, since you may want to add these Test Objects to other places manually.
