How to capture a text in a text box which is grey

Hello Experts
Need a small help
Can anyone, kindly let me know how to capture a text; in a text box, which is light grey color
For e.g., if we open google, then in the search text box, there’s a sentence in light grey color which says → ‘Search Google or type a URL’, and when we actually start typing, it disappears
Now my question is → upon landing on the google.com website/page, how do I capture this light grey color text; viz., ‘Search Google or type a URL’ in the search’s textbox
