Email setting using port 25 when 587 is chosen

My IT explain to me that lately they closed the port 25 and ever since they did that all my report are not sent through email. But I have the port 587 chosen in my configuration. Always getting an error about port 25, the IT unblocked it for me to do a test and the test email was working during that time. Why is it using port 25 when 587 is chosen???

perhaps you (and the IT team) have to take a look at the ‘protocol’ setting also? just a guess …
