@ThanhTo Thank you for you effort. I’m copying variables sometimes using script mode.
Issue probably happen during copy/paste from one test case to another or from Katalon to Notepad++ and back to Katalon.
If you wonder why I’m copy/pasting code from Katalon to Notepad++ and back that’s because of another issue with Katalon removing parens when moving from script view to manual view after a change in manual view, this is still not fixed in latest version even though release notes state it is:
I will report this issue with all details as soon as I find time, probably today. I have a video of the problem.
Related issues to parens problem:
Situation : In the script view, I write the following:
String Beginning_date = ( new Date()+1 ).format('dd/MM/yyyy')
However, when I use the manual view to change or add an item I lose the open/close parens and the code is changed to
String Beginning_date = new Date()+1.format('dd/MM/yyyy')
Expectation: I expect the code to remain unchanged
Actual: The code has been changed
Note: The Manual View displays the code incorrectly as
String Beginning_date = new Date()+1…
This is my original code

WebUI.sendKeys(findTestObject(‘SmartQ/Create Payment/input_Payment Amount_1stReserve’),
(reserveAmount1 / 2).toString())}
But after I run it, Katalon changes the syntax to
if (WebUI.verifyElementPresent(findTestObject(‘SmartQ/Create Payment/has_Payment’), 5) == true) {
WebUI.sendKeys(findTestObject(‘SmartQ/Create Payment/input_Payment Amount_1stReserve’),

Hello,
I’d like to present the following four improvement suggestions to you that came up during our daily work with Katalon Studio. All off them are connected to comments and auto-formatting.
1. Creation of multiline comments for reports
We frequently use the generated PDF reports. In some cases, we add comments that extend the usual line with by far. Currently we need to put them in a single line that becomes really long. So I’d like to suggest to implement multi-line comments such as /* */…
Thank you @randy.schmidt . I’m stuck with Katalon on this project. Thanks for the hint, I will try Robot framework.
