šŸ† Community Solution Contributor | Dineshh - Katalon Community 2025 Year-End Award

Hi Community members! :waving_hand:

Today, we’re excited to announce the next award category of our Katalon Community 2025 Year-End Awards:

:trophy: Community Solution Contributor

This award recognizes outstanding members who consistently go above and beyond to help others, and those who reply to questions, share their expertise, and are often the first to step in when support is needed most. :speech_balloon:

While there were many strong candidates for this category, @Dineshh truly stood out. Over the past year, they have spent an incredible 364 days actively contributing on our forum, reading 4,404 topics and posts, sharing 672 replies, earning 222 likes, and providing an impressive 10 accepted solutions along the way.

As a token of our appreciation for Dineshh’s meaningful contributions to the community, we’re delighted to award them $100.

We also had the opportunity to chat briefly with Dineshh about their thoughts and experiences participating in the Katalon Community.

[Interview section]

What are the first things you usually do when you visit our forum?
ā€œI first skim through new and unanswered topics, then open the ones where I know I can add specific, actionable help—especially tricky failures, integrations, or edge-case behaviors. I also quickly review any ongoing threads I’ve replied to, to see if the OP needs a follow-up.ā€

What motivates you to support others in the community?
ā€œI’ve learned a lot from other people’s shared problems and solutions, so helping back feels like closing that loop. It’s also genuinely satisfying to see someone go from stuck to confident just because of a small hint or example.ā€

What do you hope to see more of in the Katalon Community in 2026?
ā€œI’d love to see more end-to-end examples that include project structure, CI/CD, and reporting, not just isolated snippets. More ā€˜postmortem’ style posts—what went wrong, how it was fixed, and what was learned—would also be really valuable.ā€

How long have you been a member of the forum, and what’s the most memorable topic you’ve participated in or created?
ā€œI’ve been around for a few years now. The most memorable topics are the ones where a weird, hard-to-reproduce issue eventually turned into a clean, reusable pattern that many other users later bookmarked and reused.ā€

What are your top three pieces of advice for community members when they run into technical challenges?
ā€œFirst, always include a minimal reproducible example with logs, versions, and key snippets.
Second, describe clearly what you expected versus what actually happened, and what you’ve already tried.
Third, stay open to alternative approaches—sometimes the right answer is to change the test design, not just fix a single line of code.ā€

What advice would you give to members who hope to become a Guru like you?
ā€œStart by answering small questions consistently and explaining your reasoning, not just posting code. Keep your knowledge up to date with new releases and features, and don’t be afraid to say ā€˜I don’t know’ while still helping others investigate and learn alongside you.ā€

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and insights with the community. Contributions like these are what make the Katalon Community such a valuable place to learn, collaborate, and grow together.
