No free subscription unfortunately, you must purchase it first but you can contact the sales team

Correct. TrueTest is a separate product from Katalon. It does integrate with Katalon Studio.

TrueTest functions as an AI-powered engine that captures real user interactions, both in production and pre-production, and then uses those insights to automatically generate, update, and maintain test cases. Once TrueTest identifies user journeys, it feeds them as ready-to-execute automated tests directly into Studio, where testers can refine, execute, and extend them through the Studio interface. This bridges the gap between real-world usage and pre-release testing, ensuring that test coverage reflects actual customer behavior rather than assumptions.

So, in practice:

  • TrueTest observes user flows in live applications.

  • Studio receives AI-generated tests based on those flows, integrated via shared object repositories and test authoring pipelines.
