New tab open in another browser

Our automation script runs on Chrome browser. Click on a button in the application opens a new tab, but it opens in IE browser.
I use SwitchToWindowIndex() in the script and it doesn’t work. Glad anyone can help on this.

Isn’t it that you need to select Chrome as your “default” browser?
How to change default browser on Windows 10

1. Open Settings.
2. Click on Apps.
3. Click on Default apps.
4. Under the “Choose default apps” section, click the current default browser.
5. Select the browser you want to make the new default. For example, Firefox or Google Chrome.

@Dave_Evers I think this will only help with multiple tabs in the same browser. Here, I think we need to handle two separate browsers of different types completely. I think you’ll need to create two separate driver instances, then hand them off to Katalon when you need them: // Open a new Chrome browser.
