Hi Community members, :wave:

Today, our Katalon Studio team is excited to share with you a first look at Katalon Studio version 10.0.0 which utilizes Selenium 4.

With Selenium 4, you can expect a few improvements as below:

  • Some built-in keywords show better performance compared to Selenium standalone-v3.141.59
  • The total execution time of test scenarios has been reduced by 21%

As we continue to work on the upgrade, a few issues remain that will be addressed in upcoming builds, include:

  • Unable to record/spy with TestCloud and remote URL.
  • Some keywords are not functioning as expected: Scroll to text, Double-tap, Drag and Drop, Pinch to Zoom in at position, Type on Image.
  • [iOS] Unable to uncheck the XCUIElementTypeSwitch control.
  • Unable to record with KCU on Chrome.
  • Smart Wait is not working.

As this release is still in its early stages, we strongly recommend you to report any bugs or glitches that you find when testing out the product by simply creating a topic in Bugs Report. Please make sure to follow the topic template and indicate that the bug is related to version 10.0.0.

Hi folks, :wave:

As Selenium 4 has just been updated, so does Katalon Studio Alpha 10.0.0 with the below fix:

  • We have resolved an error where some user were unable to record/spy with TestCloud and remote URL.

A few issue however, still remain:

  • Some keywords are not functioning as expected: Scroll to text, Double-tap, Drag and Drop, Pinch to Zoom in at position, Type on Image.
  • [iOS] Unable to uncheck the XCUIElementTypeSwitch control.
  • Unable to record with KCU on Chrome.
  • Smart Wait is not working.
