Are you going to use Katalon Studio for API testing? Are you serious?

I evaluate the API testing feature of Katalon Studio is not good. It has several shortcomings identified years ago and left unfixed. Among others, you can not get any binary contents out of Katalon’s ResponseObject.

With Katalon Studio’s WS-features, you can not download and save a binary content into file appropriately. You can read the source of com.kms.katalon.core.testobject.ResponseObject at If you read the code, you would easily find that ResponseObject naively assumes that all HTTP response is a text. No PDF, No JPEG/PNG, No Excel, No Zip are supported. For me, it is too poor.
