[KShare] How to Record with TestCloud devices?

Hi Community members,

Today, we are back with the last article in our TestCloud series. And, in this article, we are going to demonstrate how you can use TestCloud mobile devices for recording and playback, which is a new feature introduced to Katalon Studio 9.5.0 onward.

:information_source: See what is new with Katalon Studio version 9.5.0 here: http://forum.katalon.com/t/new-release-katalon-platform-update-may-2024/132578#create-test-1

This feature removes the need for complex local setups and makes it easier for users with minimal coding experience to conduct mobile testing.

To get started, please make sure you have fulfilled the following requirements:

Record objects on a TestCloud device

To begin capturing objects on a TestCloud device, follow these steps:

Step 1: From the main Toolbar, click the Record Mobile icon and select TestCloud Devices.

Step 2: In the TestCloud Configurations section, choose the device configuration and the native application that you want to work on.

Step 3: Wait for a few minutes to look for the available devices to start the applications.

Step 4: Click Start on the action bar to launch the AUT.

Step 5: Follow from step 4 mentioned in our documentation - Record a mobile application - to select objects

:pushpin: Please note that you should not leave the recording inactive for over 60 seconds. Your session might be terminated and you might lose your unsaved work.
