Refactor-Rename only works once

  2. I’m learning automated test with Katalon Studio

How would your work be affected if this issue has not been resolved?

  1. I can continue my job, resolving this ticket can boost my performance

Operating System

Katalon Studio Version

Katalon Studio logs

Just a bunch of this:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.jdt.groovy.core 4 0 2022-04-08 16:45:14.124
!MESSAGE Groovy-Eclipse Type Inferencing: Error visiting types for ConditionPageModel.groovy
!STACK 0
java.lang.NullPointerException

But the timestamps don’t line up with the issue I’m having, so very likely not related.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. select a method name
  2. right click → refactor → rename (or use shortcut)
  3. rename the method
  4. click enter
  5. if a style warning (feature request: disable these stupid things) pops up, press enter or click “continue”
  6. once renaming completes, repeat steps 1 and 2 (same or different method, doesn’t matter).
  7. notice that selecting rename or using the shortcut does nothing
  8. close the file and reopen it
  9. repeat steps 1 and 2
  10. notice that you can now rename again (but only once before you have to close and reopen it again)

Expected Behavior:

Rename works without having to close and reopen the file between uses

Actual Behavior:

Rename works once before having to close and reopen the file in order to use it again

I feel your pain,

Possibly, due to the same root cause as
