Over the past months, many of us have noticed how AI tools (LLMs) are becoming part of our daily work and that includes how we ask and answer questions in the community. This is exciting, and at the same time, it raises an important question for all of us:
How do we keep the Katalon Community genuinely helpful, trustworthy, and human?
This post is created to clarify that our Forum is a place for best practices, where users can learn, troubleshoot, and grow.
Why This Matters (Especially Now)
Across many successful communities, one pattern is clear:
Platforms increasingly reward genuine, experience-based answers over generic AI-generated responses.
Case of Reddit
Reddit has publicly emphasized that:
- Real human experiences
- Context-rich discussions
- Opinionated, nuanced answers
are what make their content valuable, all of which are hard for AI to replace.
Subreddits that thrive are the ones where:
- People share what actually worked
- Answers include trade-offs, mistakes, and lessons learned
Best Practice for Contributors
If you’re using AI to help you answer (many of us do), a good guideline is:
AI can help you write the answer, but the insight should still be yours.
Before posting, ask yourself:
- Did I verify this works in Katalon?
- Did I add context or experience?
- Would this help me if I were stuck?
Even a short note like:
“I tested this on version X”
“This worked for me, but watch out for Y”
…can make a big difference.
Build the impact
Let’s continue building a community where:
- Answers are reliable

- People come not just for solutions, but for understanding
