"Load data from Excel" does not properly work for OAuth2.0 Authorization

Please let us know what you are using Katalon Studio for?

  1. I’m building a Proof of Concept

How would your work be affected if this issue has not been resolved?

  1. I can continue my job, but my performance is lower than expected

Operating System

  • Windows 10

Katalon Studio Version

8.2.0, build 208

Katalon Studio logs

  • Windows logs folder: \config.metadata.log

.log.zip (4.9 KB)

However the issue seems not to be logged

Screenshots / Videos

Book1.zip (7.2 KB)

Environment (for Web testing):

Google Chrome Versión 96.0.4664.110 (Build oficial) (64 bits) anyway the problem is not related to a browser

Environment (for Mobile testing):

  • Appium version

  • Mobile platform/version under test: (for example: iOS 11 or Android 7)

  • Real device or emulator/simulator: (for example: iPhone 6s real or Nexus 6 simulator)

  • Xcode version (for iOS): (for example: Xcode 8 or Xcode 11)

  • Appium Logs: .appium

  • Application file (.apk/.ipa): (if possible)

Steps to reproduce:

The problem is related to Katalon Studio itself, the “Load data from Excel” for OAuth2.0 does not properly load the different parameters

  1. Open Katalon Studio - Web Service Project
  2. Create a Object, for example a GET request and go to Authorization Tab
  3. Click the Load data from Excel button and load this excel file
    Book1.zip (7.2 KB)

Expected Behavior:

  1. The corresponding fields are loaded with the values from the excel file
  2. The value for “state” key is loaded in the “State” field
  3. The documentation is clear and indicates how to compose a correct excel file (In my case I guessed the names of the keys since I could not find an explanation in the documentation)

Actual Behavior:

  1. Some of the fileds remain empty
  2. The value for “state” key is loaded in “Refresh Token” field
  3. There is no documentation explaining how to compose the excel file with and the correct “keys” to put in the first column

Observations:

No special characters in the excel file. It is attached above to test.
