# Katalon is taking too much memory

Hi, Hope you are doing great. katalon is taking too much memory in task manager and even it gets super slow when during running. it take almost 2 GB memory some time. Also i searched out the solution but there is no proper solution mentioned on internet. Some people are saying add some piece of code in “Katalon.ini” file but i am unable to locate such file in my directory. Kindly help me in this regard directly. I will be very thankful.

What OS are you using?  
Which browser(s)?  
How much memory is installed?

My Katalon uses 2.5GB :

Katalon Studio version 7.0.0 is enhanced to reduce memory consumption by adding some JVM options.

Please first check out the [release note](https://docs.katalon.com/katalon-studio/new/version-70.html#version-70-beta) and click [here](https://github.com/katalon-studio/katalon-studio/releases) to download if you want to try out version 7.0.0 (beta).
