Is it a requirement that your AUT must be tested in IE and/or Edge?
If the answer is no, then I would recommend ditching the effort, and sticking with the more reliable driver-browser pairs, like Chrome, Firefox, etc. IE is a notoriously bad browser, and the driver for it does its best to compensate.
