How to verify value in a nested table

All,

I am trying to validate a value in a table but it appears to be nested several layers.

Here is what I am seeing in the web tools:

We have tried many of the verify options with no luck. Does anyone have any solutions on how to verify the value?

Thanks,
Kim

WHAT have you tried?

What was the error (if any?)

Which element are you trying to verify?

Where is the “nesting” you spoke about?

How did you build you test object?

Russ,

Let me see if I can answer all your questions:

This was my test object:

I am trying to validate the highlighted number 5,072 in the table.

So if you look at the look at the second screenshot, you can see that you have to dig into the code before you can see 5,072.

I am also attaching the different approaches that we have tried, verify element attribute value and verify element.

Please let me know if there is any additional information that you need.

1. in object definition turn off everything except xpath (or id it’s up to you)
2. assert ‘5,072’ == WebUI.getText(testObject) or WebUI.verifyElementText(testObject, ‘5,072’)

Thank you @Andrej Podhajský! We ended up capturing the span object by xpath and verifying that element text and it worked
