# Finding "java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException" error while running Sample Test Project

I am using KATALON v8.6.5 and have fulfilled all the instructions provided by Katalon documentation. Installed all the dependencies, configured appium location, appium log level as “debug” and these stuffs too,

jdk - 16.0.2  
node - 20.5.0

But it shows the same issue all the time. Error log is given below,

@shuvashishsqa Can you share the appium version you are using. Currently if you want to use android execution you cannot use appium 2.0 and will need to downgrade to the newest supported appium version of 1.22.3.

I am using appium v1.8.0 now. Running fine with the real app in the real devices now but was facing the same old issue for readymade Test Sample Android projects. Yes, I’ve tried 1.22.3 too. I’ve always failed to run any Test sample android test cases successfully yet with real devices.
