Configure Key Bindings

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://docs.katalon.com/katalon-studio/docs/configure-keyboard-shortcuts.html

The Emacs scheme is intriguing, but I don’t see that it is any different from your default scheme. For example, to paste in Emacs, one uses Ctrl + Y.

While I had the Emacs scheme selected, I was puzzled as to why Ctrl + F wasn’t bringing up the ‘Find/Replace’ feature. Instead, it was moving the cursor to the right by one character, which is exactly what Emacs would do.

Wondering how I would ‘Find/Replace’, I considered how I would find in Emacs. The answer is Ctrl + S. When I do that, Katalon Studio goes into ‘Incremental Find’ mode, which is very nice.

When I started writing this, I thought I was going to ask how to get to ‘Find/Replace’ from the menu while in the Emacs scheme. Since Ctrl + S works, I don’t really need ‘Find/Replace’, but as long as I’m here, I’ll ask anyway. How do I get to ‘Find/Replace’ from the menu?
