Today we are announcing our revised Contributor program, which is designed to recognize and celebrate active, engaged, and helpful members - who may be you - on our forum!
Specifically, the new program is now more modular and flexible, allowing you to choose the area(s) of contribution that you are most comfortable with. Over time, we hope that this approach would enable you to become leaders in your respective area(s), and that you would pick up new skills and knowledge along the way as well! 
And did we mention that you would get rewarded for your contribution as well? Follow along to find out!

Category Moderator
As a Category Moderator, you are eager to work with us to maintain and grow our forum together. You will be granted with extra capabilities to help you to review and moderate the topics and posts in specific category(s).
How you can contribute
- Welcoming new members and encourage them to follow our Community Guidelines and Posting Guidelines wherever possible.
- Create topics to facilitate discussions.
- Provide support to other members by responding to their questions and offering suitable solutions
* - Ensuring the forum run smoothly by utilizing your newfound capabilities e.g. moving a topic to another category if it is irrelevant to the current category, renaming topics’ titles, edit topics/posts, etc. (More details will be shared with you after you sign up).

What are the criteria to join?
While everyone is welcome to join our Contributor program, we want to make sure that our Category Moderators are familiar with our forum first, hence, to apply, you would need:
- Be at least a Trust Level 1 (TL1) users.
- You must have joined our forum for at least 3 months,
- You must already earn 400 Kudos.

Upon joining, you will receive:

Technical Blogger 
You are an experienced tester and want to share your knowledge with others? Or do you have a knack for writing and would like to build your reputation? Then this role is for you!
How you can contribute
As a Technical Blogger, you would contribute insightful and informative articles/tutorials in our Tips & Tricks and Product Insights categories.
What are the criteria to join?
Everyone is welcome to become one of our Technical Bloggers, though ideally you should first have some experiences and knowledge in the field of software testing and with the Katalon Platform.
What is in it for you?
Simply put, the more you write, the more you would get rewarded! After each successfully published articles, you would receive …

Bugs Catcher 
Wanting to improve the Katalon Platform by weeding out bugs and defects? Then you are in the right place!
How you can contribute
Whenever you spot a bug or defect while using the Katalon Platform, simply:
- Create a topic in Bugs Report or any other designated category with a detail report of the bug(s) itself.
- Tag the Katalon Team
@teamin the topic so that we can review it. - Get rewarded after the bug(s) is acknowledged and verified by a member of our Product team. See below for details .
What are the criteria to join?
There are no hard criteria to become a Bugs Catcher, though ideally, you should have some solid experience in using the Katalon Platform beforehand.
What is in it for you?
Aside from a shout-out from our team in our quarterly Community Summary topics, you would also get:
- One (1) $10 Amazon US eGift Card ONLY if your topic has at least 5 votes, and the bug(s) is verified and acknowledged by a member of our Product team.
Docs Watcher
As a Docs Watcher, you will be instrumental in helping to improve our documentation, and in turn, improve the experiences of thousands of Katalon Platform users.
How you can contribute
Whenever you spot an error in one of our documentation, or see information that may be out of date, simply:
- Create a topic in Documentation and follow the instruction provided in the composer.
- Tag the Katalon team
@teaminto the topic so that we could review it. - Get rewarded after a member of our Technical Writing team has acknowledged your suggestions. See below for details

There are no hard criteria to become a Docs Watcher, though ideally, you should have some solid experience in using the Katalon Platform beforehand.
