Hello everyone i want to ask about the path installation directory of katalon studio, i have run the exe. file but it seems there is no choice to choose the directory location for installing the katalon studio, can i move the program to D directory from C directory ? ---

copy paste the folder (.zip) from C to D and delete the one in C and install in D ---

If you prefer a clean installation on the **D drive** : 1. **Download the ZIP Package** : - Go to Katalon Studio’s [download page](https://katalon.com/download/) and choose the **ZIP** version (not the EXE installer). - Extract the ZIP file directly to your desired location (e.g., `D:\Katalon_Studio`). - Run `katalon.exe` from the extracted folder. 1. **Create Shortcuts Manually** : - Right-click `katalon.exe` \> **Send to** \> **Desktop (create shortcut)**. ## **Important Notes** - **Configuration Files** : Katalon Studio stores user-specific data (e.g., plugins, settings) in `%APPDATA%\KatalonStudio` on Windows. These files remain on the **C drive** unless manually moved (not recommended unless necessary). - **Updates** : Future updates will still install to the new location if you use the ZIP method. If you used the EXE installer, updates might revert to the default path (C drive), so the ZIP method is more flexible. - **Compatibility** : The program will work from any drive as long as the folder structure remains intact. ## **Why Doesn’t the EXE Installer Allow Choosing a Path?** Katalon Studio’s EXE installer is designed for simplicity and automatically extracts files to default locations. The ZIP package is more flexible for custom installations. ---
